With Intelligent Digital Display Control Panel, the unit can be controlled via wireless remote control or the control panel. The temperature can be displayed both fahrenheit and celsius. The Wireless Remote Control can be operated at a distance of up to 50 feet away, and batteries are included. All functions can be controlled with the remote control. It is equipped with 4 multidirectional, pivoting casters, making the KFP35 highly portable. These casters easily roll and rotate so you can smoothly move the unit around. It is equipped with the Continuous Drain Function. The KFP35 is equipped with removable water tank. When the tank is full, the unit automatically turns off and the control panel indicates that the water tank needs to be emptied. The continuous drain function, allows you to connect the drain to the outside, bypassing the drain tank. This way, you would never be required to empty the tank. There are four Adjustable Louvers allowing the user to adjust the direction of the air flow. Finally, the 24 Hour Timer allows you to set the timer (up to 24 Hours) using either the wireless remote or the control panel.

| Customer Reviews: Great Machine!!! July 19, 2010 Samuel R. Jennings 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was skeptical at first for a brand that was unknown to me. But since it was a heatwave this was the only one around that met all the specs that I needed and it was for use in my unusally hot basement. Well what a plesant surprise! This little baby cools off my 2000 sq ft basement in mintues. I strongly recomend this unit. One bonus for me was the shape and size of the portabel vent. It was perfect for the small basement windows of my home.
Very nice item for the money August 10, 2010 wettonfan (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After 2 years of waffling, my wife finally agreed to let me buy a portable ac unit since our central air just could not keep up. We live on a 3rd floor in a 2 bedroom apartment, thus this was the only option other than a bulky casement ac. I reviewed numerous units for a couple weeks and made a few choices. I went out to see one in person but no store in my entire state had a portable ac in stock due to the heatwave. Finally I decided to go with the ramsond 12000 btu unit because our bedroom has very high ceilings. I convinced my wife we would save about $100 a month in electric since I sleep during the day and she sleeps at night. That is 16 hours of no central air on. I decided on this machine because it was a modern model and had gotten excellent reviews. Also Amazon had it on sale for $359 with free shipping. People on craigslist were selling junky used ones for about $300. My ac was ordered and was expected to reach me in 10 days. To my surprise, it got here in 3 days. I feel bad for the poor schmuck who had to carry it up 3 flights of stairs. Anyway, I prepared myself for the worst with the installation. We have tall windows that slide open sideways. After inspecting the supplies, I needed just a roll of dict tape to begin. The hose does not hook onto the unit without duct tape to reinforce it. Who knows why, but it was an easy fix. The window hook up was simple and the hose connected to it easily and the hose was superb quality. I was done in 10 minutes. Could not believe it as I have a bad back and bad knees and take my time with things like this. It has been 2 weeks now and the unit is running great. Only negative to owning this unit is you have to empty the drain pan every few hours. The lower the temperature, the faster it fills up. My solution to this was to set the temp to 74 and use a fan. this allows the unit to run continuous for about 8 hours. Waking up 3 hours later sweating to empty the pan was getting old real fast. The unit has a continuous draining technology, but it only appears to work with gravity going downward, such as a floor drain. Was gonna try to run the hose out the window, but my temperature setting fixed the problem. Overall I am very satisfied and so is my cheapass wife. Looking forward to seeing the savings on next month's electric bill. p.s. the price jumped $40 the next day after I bought my unit.
should have bought a window unit August 22, 2010 Big Mama (somewhere in the middle) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The product works OK, but really it doesn't seem to have any more oomph than a window unit, which would have cost 3X less. to feel the cool, you have to sit within 3 feet of the unit and directly in the path of the air flow. We are in the desert, but we still have to empty the water container about once every hour or two. It's also really noisy and sounds like we are inside a freight truck. I don't know if it is the same with other brands of portable air conditioners...I'm guessing yes, it's not the brand, it's the product in general. When we thought about returning it, we realized that with the return shipping and the RESHELVING FEE it would cost us almost as much as the unti cost in the first place, which actually bugs me a lot more than all the other factors combined. So we are stuck with a very overpriced item.
